Is PaperPicks free?
Yes. PaperPicks is free to download and free to play. You start with a $100 paper bankroll and no sign-up is required — you can place your first paper trade within seconds of opening the app. Optional in-app purchases exist, but everything they buy is simulated paper money.
Is PaperPicks gambling? Can I win real money?
No. Every dollar in PaperPicks is simulated paper money. Nothing can be wagered, won, lost, or cashed out. It is a simulator: real odds, real settlement, zero financial risk.
Where do the odds come from?
Odds mirror live public prediction-market exchanges — the same markets real traders move on Kalshi and follow on Polymarket. When the crowd moves the price, your screen moves with it, and your positions settle when the real markets settle. PaperPicks is not affiliated with any exchange.
Can I use PaperPicks to practice before trading on Kalshi or Polymarket?
Yes — that's one of the main reasons people use it. Prices, YES/NO contracts, settlement at $1, and P&L tracking all work the way they do on real prediction-market exchanges, so the reading-the-market skills transfer directly. Do I need an account or ID verification?
No KYC, no email, no phone number. The app creates an anonymous account on first launch. You can optionally claim your record with Sign in with Apple so it survives across devices.
Can I compete with friends or run a leaderboard for my trading group?
Yes. Every player has a public record and profile. Follow your friends, see each other's live bets, tail or fade their picks in two taps, and battle for leaderboard position — it's built for group chats, Discords, and trading communities that want skin-in-the-game bragging rights without real stakes.
Is PaperPicks available on Android?
Not yet — PaperPicks is currently iOS-only (iPhone, iOS 26 or later). Android is on the roadmap.
